HCRW January Dinner Meeting Details
HCRW will meet January 23, 2012, on the second floor of the Gulfport Yacht Club at 6:30 PM. Dinner is $20 and the speakers will be the five mayors in Harrison County. Please attend and bring some guests with you so that we'll have a good turnout for the mayors. The topic will be the State of the Cities, and we will learn what new projects are on the horizon as we continue our slow recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
The 2012 HCRW Yearbooks should be ready to be picked up at the January meeting. Since we do not have state elections in 2012, the schedule for meetings varies slightly and you'll need your yearbooks to check meeting times and places. Plan to pick your yearbook up at the meeting; it is too costly to mail them. The 2012 budget includes paying for our yearbooks out of HCRW funds; but if you want to toss in $1 or $2 when you pick up your book, a contribution will be appreciated!
We had 35 members attend the December HCRW meeting. We need to significantly increase attendance at the January meeting!

TARS 2012 New Advisors Call First Meeting

Dear Teenage Republicans:
As a Presidential Election Year, 2012 is going to be an exciting and challenging year for Republicans.
The Harrison County Teenage Republican Club members will have the opportunity to participate in meetings and learn more about this important election cycle. In fact, the President of the Harrison County Republican Women, Dr. Shirley Godsey, has offered to sponsor meals for the first two TARS members who respond to me. You will have reserve seating as well as a complimentary meal at this evening meeting on January 23rd. This meeting will consist of presentations of the Chief Executives (Mayors) from all Municipalities in Harrison County.
My name is Greg Payne, and my wife, Penny, and I are looking forward to assisting Wendy Peavy as Advisors this year. TARS 2012 will meet on Saturday, January 28th from 10:30 until Noon. HCRC January Meeting
Our 1st meeting for 2012 will be Wed Jan 18th 11:30a-1p at the Great Southern Club. Our speakers will include our new Republican Party State Chairman Joe Nosef and Gulfport Mayor George Schloegel. Chairman Nosef will be outlining his priorities for 2012 and Mayor Schloegel will be providing us an update on the PERS Commission report.
